> NEW COURSE: INTER-COMM!
> This 12-hour course is comprised of 4 modules and offers participants instruction on conflict management concepts as well as strategies that may help when facing difficult situations or conversations with family and friends.  Through experience learning, exercises and coaching, participants will learn skills in conflict management, effective communication, and how to nurture collaboration, both at home and in the community.>

> WANT TO QUIT SMOKING? SIGN UP FOR BUTT OUT
> Butt Out is an individual quit smoking program. Members sign-up by drop in on Mondays between 1500-1600 in Building 181a. By signing up you will receive material to help you better succeed at quitting. In addition, Reg Force and Class B & Class C Reservists can be eligible to have Nicotine Replacement Therapies (gum or patch) or smoking cessation medications covered.

> There will be a two 2-day Top Fuel for Top Performance Workshops:

> MENTAL FITNESS & SUICIDE AWARENESS
> There will be a 1-day Mental Fitness & Suicide Awareness (MFSA) workshop on October 10, 2012 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. MFSA replaced ASIST suicide awareness training effective February 2011 in order to provide a CF specific mental fitness and suicide awareness training course.
>
> Purpose: To prepare personnel in leadership positions to promote mental fitness and to mitigate the incidence of mental health injuries including deliberate self-harm and suicide within the military community. The course material is designed to promote both awareness and skill building to maximize mental fitness both individually, and in team settings for both individual and operational effectiveness.

> FEELING STRESSED?
> There will be a two 3-day Stress: Take Charge (Stress Management) workshops:

>        Workshop 1: September 18, 19, 20, 2012.
> OR Workshop 2: October 16, 17, 18, 2012.

> Through seven 3 hr sessions, Managing Angry Moments is designed to increase personal performance by helping participants deal with anger generating situations in an emotionally non-reactive way. For more information, please contact us.

> There will be a 1-day Alcohol & Other Drug Awareness and Prevention Program for CFB Edmonton supervisors on October 31, 2012 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, at the Lecture Training Facility. This workshop is intended for all personnel who supervise others.  The information covered will include the following: (some of the modules may not be discussed)

> 1     Module 2- Alcohol: Staying Within the Guidelines
> 2     Module 7- Problem Gambling
> 3     Module 9- Recognizing the Early Warning Signs
> 4     Module 10- Developing Effective Intervention Skills>

> WEIGHT WELLNESS
